SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING LEGAL RECOGNITION OF SAME-SEX SPOUSES

On June 26, 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court repealed Section 3 of the federal Defense of Marriage Act (“DOMA”), which had prohibited same-sex married couples from being recognized as “spouses” for purposes of federal laws.   5. The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce a new benefit available to participants in all Plans (Plan A, C-1, C-2 and C-3) effective July 1, 2013. The Fund will now cover Applied Behavior Analysis (“ABA”) therapy, a relatively new treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Click here to read more about this new benefit.
